Product Development Champion
Sarah grew up mostly in the Midwest, living in various locations such as Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio and Michigan. Her family also ventured outside of the States for a brief period, and she spent a few of her high school years in England. She still calls the Midwest home, now living in Southern Illinois, just across the river from the gateway to the west.
Sarah’s love of chemistry started in college, where she was able to pursue independent research under the mentorship of a professor. This inspired her to continue on and receive a Master’s degree in organic chemistry from Penn State University. Sarah’s career in chemistry began in the lab, working for a large pharmaceutical company, but she quickly learned that she also was very interested in the entire drug development process, and wanted to be involved beyond the lab. She made a natural move into Regulatory Affairs, with a focus on CMC. While Sarah’s expertise has expanded beyond CMC regulatory affairs, that is still her main area of focus, along with authoring applications for electronic submissions, and best practices associated with authoring electronic applications.
In her free time, you will find Sarah at her two boy’s football, baseball or basketball games, track meets and practices. She enjoys exercising and keeping fit, which she does by running (occasionally), walking her very strong lab/pitbull puppy and working out at 9Round kickboxing gym.
