Strategic Program Champion and Regulatory Services Team Manager

I grew up in the Midwest, where summers were spent swimming in lakes and exploring forests, while winters were all about sledding and building snow forts. My small-town upbringing taught me to appreciate life’s simple joys: family, good friends, and the great outdoors. My love for science began early. I spent one summer performing every experiment in my second-grade science book. At an impressionable age, I watched my favorite grandfather—the one who gave me my first beer—slowly lose his memory. That experience fueled my passion for understanding the powers of the brain, particularly how memories and neuroplasticity shape our lives. This path eventually led me to earn a BS in Biology from the University of Illinois, a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of California, Davis, and later, an MBA from the University of Southern California.

Before stepping into the corporate world, I took a detour as a DJ for WLRW Mix 94.5 in Champaign, Illinois. I spent my nights learning the art of leading massive crowds, nudging strangers to let loose on the dance floor, and creating joy through music. Those late nights filled with loud beats and energetic crowds taught me a lot about connection and the power of living in the moment.

Throughout my career in pharma and healthcare, I’ve held numerous roles focused on bringing innovative medicines and healthcare solutions to those who need them most. My driving force is simple: helping others live healthier, fuller lives. Whether it’s developing treatments that give a child another birthday or making it possible for a grandfather to dance at his granddaughter’s wedding, I’m motivated by the profound difference we can make in people’s lives.

If I had a personal motto, it would be: “Do more of what makes you happy.” For me, that means spending time with my family, exploring the great outdoors, connecting with others, and finding joy in life’s little moments. Whether I’m helping a client succeed, developing a new drug, inspiring a laugh, or working to improve someone’s health, I’m committed to making the world a little better, one step at a time.

When I’m not working, I’m most alive on the water. Whether swimming or cruising on a ski boat, I find peace and adventure where the waves meet the sky. At home, my family and our dog keep me grounded as I enjoy football on Sundays and grill “Tom Burgers” for friends and family.
