Here’s what you can expect from our recruitment and hiring process:
1ST INTERVIEW
We want to help you understand what it is like to work at Facet. In a 1-hour video call, you will meet Lisa Jenkins VanLuvanee, Ph.D., COO and VP, R & D, who will provide an overview of our culture, values, skills, client experiences, and scientific expertise. She will describe a “typical day” at Facet and will work with you to help you determine if a new role at Facet might be right for you.
If we both agree that Facet could be a good fit, we will ask you to prepare a writing sample.
WRITING SAMPLE
Authoring regulatory documents is integral to what we do at Facet. The writing sample will allow you to show off your scientific knowledge and writing expertise. We have different writing activities for nonclinical, CMC, and clinical regulatory experts – If you have expertise in more than 1 area, you get to choose which one you would like! The sample itself usually can be completed in less than an hour and you will have up to a week to complete it.
Based on your writing sample, if we both agree that Facet could be a good career move for you, you will meet with several Facet team members.
INTERVIEW WITH THE TEAM
We are a collegial, collaborative team that works hard and has fun doing it! Mutual respect, trust, communication, teamwork, training, and strong leadership are hallmarks of a great place to work. In a 1-hour video call, you will meet members of the Facet team and will be able to ask questions about what it is like to work at Facet.
If we all agree that Facet could be the right next step in your career, you will have another meeting with Lisa to discuss the role in more detail and come to fundamental agreement on compensation.
2ND INTERVIEW
In this 1-hour video meeting, Lisa will discuss the day-to-day aspects of the role, what you can expect in the first year of employment, and answer any lingering questions you may have. This meeting will also include an open conversation about a compensation package specifically tailored for you, if you were to choose to join us.
Based on a mutually-agreed successful outcome from this meeting, you will meet with Facet’s CEO – the only non-scientist at Facet!
FINAL INTERVIEW
In this 1-hour video meeting, you will hear directly from Facet’s CEO, Ken VanLuvanee, about our mission, vision, values, and corporate culture. You will hear about his philosophy of management, leadership style, and what you can expect working with him. Do note that he describes himself as a nonconventional CEO so don’t be surprised if you cover a wide variety of topics (e.g., Jeep off-roading or BBQ pit-master techniques)! He strongly encourages challenging the status quo so be sure to ask him all your hard questions!
The process can take as little as 48 hours and as long as is needed for you and Facet to determine if joining us is the right move for you.
